Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to an ethnically diverse family from South London. Her mother is English while her father is Nigerian. Her family was on the southern part of London Council Estate and attended The Brit School aged 14. She graduated with a BA in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While attending the school and performing in numerous stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. She has since made appearances on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut is that of the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Following that she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. Also, the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 when she appeared on the drama The Beautiful Life. The drama aired for just two episodes before it was ended on The CW. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. Following her appearance as a regular on the initial two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to depart the series following her appearance on the premiere episode from the 3rd season. From 2014 until 2016she appeared in Salem as Tituba. Then, in June of 2012 she was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also had a role alongside her in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was born into a big family from Hamilton, Ontario. Her family included the parents Roy and Patty together with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey in the summer and winter. She grew up in the arenas and baseball. Ashley did not walk; instead, she danced. When she was two and half, she found Baby Ballet. Ashley was hooked on dance since that time. Ashley was a competitive dancer in all the major divisions up until her graduation from high school. She competed in ballet, jazz, tap and pointe, as well as the acrobatics. The top soloist at important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
